Data Collection via Démarches Simplifiées – Legal Framework

Certain procedures offered by Victimes & Avenir involve the collection of personal or sensitive information, including:
- administrative or legal status,
- information regarding violence, offenses, or harm,
- supporting documents containing sensitive data.

This data NEVER passes through the website:
It is collected exclusively via the official Démarches Simplifiées platform, operated by the French government.
This guarantees:
- full compliance with the GDPR
- secure hosting in France,
- the impossibility of access by unauthorized third parties.

Legal basis (Articles 6 and 9 of the GDPR)

Data collection is based on:
✔️ The user’s explicit consent
(must be checked before submitting the form)
and/or
✔️ A task carried out in the public interest (Article 6.1.e of the GDPR), when Victimes & Avenir acts in:
- prevention
- victim support
- assistance with administrative or legal procedures
in cooperation with the competent authorities or public bodies.

Regarding sensitive data (Article 9)

and/or processing is necessary to protect the rights of the individuals receiving support (Article 9.2.f).

Data collected

The following may be collected on Démarches Simplifiées and on Septeo:
- identity, contact information
- administrative documents
- information useful for support (facts, situation, needs)
- documents for compiling a case file.

Sensitive data is strictly limited to what is necessary.

No data is collected on the site without consent.

Data is used solely for:
- supporting victims
- the administrative management of their cases
- assistance with official procedures
- evaluating requests for assistance
No commercial use. No transfer.

Security

The data is:
- transmitted and stored exclusively via Démarches Simplifiées
- hosted in France
- protected by secure government protocols
- accessible only to authorized members of Victimes & Avenir

Subcontracting
The sole technical subcontractor is: Démarches Simplifiées — French government (DINUM).
No other third parties have access to the data.

Retention period

According to CNIL guidelines:
3 years after the last contact for supported requests, deletion possible upon simple request at any time.

Individual rights
Every user has the right to: access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, withdrawal of consent.

Victimes & Avenir commits to responding within 30 days.
Appeals may be filed with: CNIL — www.cnil.fr

Access to the site
